Easy travel snack recipes

 
 

You've coordinated your travel itinerary, bought your plane ticket, booked your hotel, figured out transportation at your destination, and packed your bags… but did you pack snacks for your travels?

We got your back with these three snack recipes, perfect for travel days.  These easy treats can be made in less than 30 minutes and satisfy your cravings for a tasty treat while you fly toward your long-awaited trip. The best part? These snacks are incredibly economical, so you don't spend a fortune at the airport.

Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 bananas

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

  • 1 spoonful of honey (or your favorite sweetener)

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

  • 2 cups of oatmeal

  • Chocolate chips

Recipe:

  1. Use a fork to mash two bananas, add the honey and vanilla extract, and mix the ingredients. 

  2. Then, add the oatmeal and combine all the ingredients. Finally, you can add chocolate chips, chopped almonds, or raisins; it's up to you! 

  3. Shape the cookies with your hands and bake in the oven on a baking sheet (make sure to use parchment paper) at 350 degrees for about 15-20 minutes. 

Pretzel Bites in Air Fryer

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of Greek yogurt

  • 1 cup of self-rising flour

  • Everything bagel seasoning or sea salt

  • Butter (optional)

Recipe:

  1. Mix the yogurt with the flour. Once the dough is formed, knead it and cut it into squares.

  2. Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning, or sea salt on top. Tip, if you want a crunchier pretzel bite, brush the squares with melted butter before using the seasoning. 

  3. Cook in an air fryer at 330 degrees for approximately six minutes.

No-Bake Granola Bars

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rolled oats

  • 2 tablespoons of peanut butter or almond butter 

  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup or honey 

  • You can add chocolate chips or nuts! 

Recipe

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. 

  2. Spread the dough on a baking sheet, leaving a thick base so it doesn't break.

  3. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes before cutting into rectangles.
